Mid-State Mechanical was founded in 2014 by Paul and Lana Lawler with a simple goal: deliver high-quality HVAC services while treating every customer with honesty, respect, and care.
Before starting Mid-State Mechanical, Paul spent years in the industry as a team lead for C&R Mechanical, managing large crews of 20–30 people and overseeing multi-million-dollar projects. With deep industry experience, strong professional relationships, and a passion for doing things the right way, Paul was ready to build something of his own.
The company began modestly out of the Lawlers’ home in Moscow Mills with just one truck on the road. Through hard work, dedication, and a growing reputation for reliability, Mid-State Mechanical steadily expanded, eventually purchasing a building and shop in Wentzville to support its growing operations.
In 2019, the company suffered a profound loss with the passing of Lana Lawler. Paul continued forward, committed to maintaining the strong foundation they built together and honoring her memory through unwavering dedication to customers, employees, and the community.
Today, Mid-State Mechanical has grown into a trusted local company with a fleet of five service vans and a decade of proven experience. While the company continues to expand, its core values remain unchanged: personalized service, craftsmanship, and the small-town values it was founded on. In 2024, Mid-State Mechanical proudly celebrated ten years in business—marking a milestone built on trust, perseverance, and a commitment to excellence.
